Rooted in Tradition
ethiopiques coffee was born from a desire to share the authentic, unparalleled taste of Ethiopian coffee with the world. Our founder, a native of Addis Ababa, grew up surrounded by the rich aromas and time-honored rituals of the traditional coffee ceremony.
We partner directly with smallholder farmers and co-ops in Ethiopia's most celebrated coffee-growing regions—like Yirgacheffe, Sidamo, and Harrar. These partnerships are built on fairness and respect, ensuring that the farmers who cultivate these exceptional beans are rewarded for their skill and hard work.
The Art of the Bean
We believe that great coffee is an art form. It begins with the unique terroir of Ethiopia's volcanic soil and high altitudes, which impart complex and delicate flavors to the beans. Our sourcing team meticulously selects only the highest-grade, specialty arabica beans.
Back in our roastery, we approach each batch with precision and care, developing roast profiles that highlight the distinct character of each origin. Whether it's the bright, floral notes of a washed Yirgacheffe or the wild, fruity notes of a natural Harrar, our goal is to present the coffee in its purest and most expressive form.
